The Sierman STB-978S Professional Custom tenor trombone features an 8.46 in / 215 mm one-piece, hand-hammered, gold brass bell and is extremely versatile.  Whether you play primarily symphonic, classical, big band, jazz or pop, all Sierman trombones have the an extremely solid core sound throughout all registers, offering many colors to your sound and your music.  With a 0.55 in / 13.89 mm large bore combined with the traditional wrap F attachment, the STB-978S offers outstanding clarity and projection with just the right amount of resistance. The slide is among the smoothest available in the world.  Formed from chrome plated nickel silver inner hand slide tubes, you will love how you can completely take your mind off slide thoughts and focus on musical thoughts.  The standard finish is a clear lacquer finish, which adds a warmth to the overall sound.  However, other finishes are available as options.
